NEMPA Honors 2017 Dodge Charger & Chrysler Pacifica
The new Honda Civic was recently named “Best Compact Car of 2017” by auto authority Cars.com. Recognized for its class-leading style, innovative features and attention to detail, the new Civic earned high marks in the compact car challenge.
All vehicle contenders in this competition were 2017 models and included the Honda Civic, Chevrolet, Cruze, Hyundai Elantra, Kia Forte, Mazda3, Subaru Impreza, Toyota Corolla and Volkswagen Jetta. Of these the Civic earned the highest number of points and garnered the top position.
All contending vehicles in the Cars.com challenge were priced less than $23,000, had an EPA combined fuel economy of 31 mpg or higher, included automatic transmission and a cargo area with at least 91 cubic feet.
In comparison to the other compact cars, judges found the the Civic offered better interior quality, more versatile storage solutions and more safety and convenience features. They also noted that the new Honda Civic is extraordinarily fun to drive.
