The 2018 Rio is available as either a four-door sedan or a sporty 5-Door hatchback. Its body construction includes high-quality insulating materials and 30% more advanced high-strength steel for a smoother and quieter ride. Both new Rio models are powered by an ultra efficient 1.6 liter gasoline direct injection (GDI) engine mated with a re-engineered 6-speed automatic transmission. An updated braking system and motor driven power steering bring the new Rio to an elevated level of driving dynamics.
Last year’s award winning intelligent safety features have been carried over for the new model year Rio. New 2018 Kia Rio models are equipped with anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control and vehicle stability management as well as dual front, side and side curtain airbags.The new Rio is also available with Kia’s Drive Wise suite of driver-assistive technologies that include forward collision warning and autonomous emergency braking to help prevent frontal collisions.
Pricing for 2018 Kia Rio sedan starts at an MSRP of $13,900, the Rio 5-Door has a starting MSRP of $14,200. New model options for both body styles include LX, S and EX trim levels.
